3.2. Crossbow

3.2.1. Generalist X-bow

Taken from Alysen's Guide To Crossbow Characters

This is a fairly easy template to play and gives you
all 3 schools and mana c at a low level. Problem
area for this one is about levels 20 to 28 as you
desperately try to push up your Melee d and lore
to get level IV's. Alysen is a modified generalist
x-bow (took lockpick at start will get healing at40).
Good thing about this is your template finishs fast
and can get non-essential skills like leadership at 32
or lockpick at 40.

Starting Attributes

3.2.2. Kelly's Wondering Crossbow

Taken from Kelly Nicrath's Archer Page

Well, this is really my favorite kind of character.
The Wondering Crossbow will give you enough
strength to wear armour, carry a crossbow and
a few quarrels. The Quick is high enough to not
run like a mage and make getting around... or
running away pretty easy. You will have fletching
so you can carry a lot of ammo with you and not
worry about burden and with creature spec'd you
will be able to do a pretty decent job buffing
yourself. Having a high focus and maxed cord
will help with the fletching and healing. You will
be able to hold your own, and later in life with Life
Magic and Mana C you will not have any problems.

Starting Attributes
Strength: 60

3.2.3. Su Crossbow

Taken from Kelly Nicrath's Archer Page

This looks pretty good and starts you out with a lot of
skills, but you'll be a a little bit of a Jack of all trades
Master of none. You'll be a bit of a Swiss Army Knife.

Starting Attributes
Strength: 20
Endurance: 10
Coordination: 100
Quickness: 10
Focus: 95
Self: 95
Health: 5

3.2.5. Tank Xbow

Taken from Drgn's Keep

By nature, Xbows templates will always be similar
to Bow templates. Xbow skill uses the same single
attribute (Coordination) as Bow. However, because
of a few minor details, the two templates have diverged a bit.

(1) The Crossbow skill, only needs 6 skill points
to train, and an additional 6 points to Spec. Bow
on the other hand, needs 8+8. This 4 point skill
difference alone has caused a lot of the template shifting.

(2) Crossbows are usually much heavier then
Bows of the same equivalent level. Average Heavy
Crossbow comes to 1920bu, versus 720bu for Bows.
As such, a lot of templates have been shifting the
racial away from Bow's standard Aluvian, to Sho to
compensate the need for a secondary weapon,
with the desire to have more strength.

Starting Attributes
Strenght: 50
Endurance: 10
Coordinatin: 100
Quickness: 100
Focus: 60
Self: 10
Health: 5
Stamina: 10
