3.3.1. Ranger

The advantages of this template are essentially
the same as any low-magic, high defense
character...you'll literally be a tank. With the
new armor and tinkering, melee damage is becoming
less of a problem, and your melee defense skill
can potentially be astronomical. Missile Defense lets
you wear any cov armor, although you could sub
in life magic for the prots if you would rather.
You will eventually be
able to fizzle out some lvl 7 spells, but it'll take a
lot of time and effort (around 100 or so). As well,
having to max str might seem like a problem,
but if you end up spec'ing your racial and you've
got a good shield, you can easily fall back to that
if you get in trouble somewhere. Burden shouldn't
ever be a problem, even outfitted in full cov armor.
