If you are a melee toon and a frequent Col runner a good supply of Black Pages of Salt and Ash is a must. You can pick up 10 every 24 hrs BUT you have to be red PK (full one, not PK lite) to get them.

Here is the (revised) route I use. It is longer than necessary but it minimizes the time you spend running around Dereth as a PK. I prefer that both for philosophical and practical reasons.

Thanks to Mish for the tip about Sanctuary that cut the whole thing in half.

Requirements: Sanctuary Recall, WB or RM Chapterhouse Recall

Step 1: Get to Yanshi and then run to Burun Cavern at 11.9S x 49.9E, enter portal, and then Tie to exit portal. (NOTE: If you don't have a free Tie you can just this portal and then PR to it, so long as you don't use another recallable portal before the end of the run).

Step 2: Recall to your Chapterhouse and use Altar of Bael'Zharon to become a Player Killer.

Step 3: Portal Recall to outside of Burun Cavern and then short run to the Cells of the Black Book at 10.3s x 50.4e. Speak to Hassha and enter any of the four portals, as they all lead to essentially the same place. Get your ten Pages and then use Portal Tie to return outside of A Ruin.

Step 4: Recal to Sanc and go down one level to Adja's Memorial. Use it to return to Non-PK.

Step 5: Do the whole thing again in 24 hours.

It sounds like overkill and it probably is but I've never seen another soul on this route and I can do the whole thing in under 3 min if I have the exit tie, or 5 if I have to renew it by running from Yanshi to the Cavern.

Tomax another way is to use your Sanctuary recall after you get the papers. Once at sanctuary, run down one floor on the left and double click the sacarogus (sp?). You get rid of pk that way also.

One of these days I need to start doing these. One thing, make doubly sure you have DI's just in case you run into someone. Even if you are a no drop di toon, you will drop in pk so carry a bunch of massive mana stones and leave rares at all always drop on death items at home.
