OPTIONS Tab

1. Monster range is how far you want VT to auto attack. Usually I keep low as not to draw things I don't want. I set mine to 6, in col runs i set it to 55 so can hit anything in the room.

2. Ring range is how close 4 or more critters have to be to you for VT to cast rings if set to. I keep mine at 6 also.

3. Approach range is used for when using VT navigation. For now set to 1 and leave it there.

4. Follow/Nav minimum is also used for VT navigation. For now set and leave it at 2.

5. The four selections under "cancel buffs" button, leave "use dispel Items and Dispel Self" off. Enable buffing you turn on when want VT to buff you as needed, for most part you can just turn this on and leave it one all the time. VT will always buff you item spells (armor and weapons) soon as you log in and start VT the first time. It won't buff your reg spells until they are 5 minutes away from running out. You can hit the force buff button to make it buff ALL spells anytime you want.

6. Second set of 4 options on the Right side you can turn on or off as see fit:
Enable autostack will do just that, stack any stackable items as you loot them off corpses.
Enable Autocram will put looted items in side packs if any have room.
Switch wands to debuff I leave off
Rebuff when Idle I also just leave off.

PROFILES Tab for initial setup ignore, leave everything off on it.

VITALS Tab
1. First 3 are your vitals, when VT will give you mana, stamin or healing. You can play around with where to set the sliders.
1A. Heal at: I set the slider to just about under the M in the ITEMS tab.
1B. Stam at: I set the slider to just about under the R in MONSTERS tab.
1C. Get Mana at: same as Stam at, uner the R in MONSTERS tab

2. Second 3 (TOP-OFF) I just leave them all to the far left (red bars) so doesnt do anything. If you want to pause and regain health/stamina/mana when no critters to kill left, set bars accordingly.

3. Third set of 3 are the HEAL OTHERS settings.
3A. Heal Others: I set the slider to just about under the I in ITEMS tab.
3B. Restam Others: I set the slider to just about under the M in MONSTERS tab.
3C. Infuse Others: I set the slider to about the T in VITALS tab.

MONSTER tab is where you set your preferences for killing. Default works for any critter you haven't manually added. If it doesn't know whats best attack for a critter is, it will use slash.
1. The 5 options on the left when lit will do the following vulns/debuffs.
G = Gravity Well
I = Imperil
Y = Magic Yield
V = VULN
W = WAR means will fight, by turning off W you can do the others G I Y V or just heal for someone letting them do the killing.

2. The P option is a numerical setting -1 to 4. Higher the number the higher preference your giving a critter to be attacked. Only useful if you add your own monsters and not using just default. -1 will cause VT to ignore totally, never attack/vuln/imp anything.

3. Damage Type: auto will let VT decide best attack to use, you can set it to auto or any of the damage types there is to force it to always use a particular damage. Most useful for when VT doesn't know what is best to use on a critter and you add the critter manually, then youd set damage type to what you want it to do.

4. Weapon: If set to default VT will auto switch to whatever it thinks is best weapon to use against current critter your fighting. Best for when you add monsters to the list and set you own damage type, then you'd set weapon for that damage type.

5. Adding your own critters: If need to add a critter to either change the damage type/weapon or to set higher/lower priority (P) or want to do particular vulns/debuffs for it you got two ways to do it. Type name in box (exactly) and hit ADD button, or while having the critter targeted hit the ADD SELECTED button. Once added either way, you should see a line for that critter show up and can make whatever settings you want for it.

ITEMS TAB This is where you set what weapons/wands you want VT to buff AND select from when fighting. If not in this list VT wont use it. When you come into AC for the very first time after installing VT, it will scan your pack and add any weapons it sees. Usually adds to many so what i do is remove everything from the list, then manually add in the ones I want it to use. If you add say 2 blungeon wands, it will never use the 2nd one, always grabbing the first one instead. After this initial login, VT will each time you log in scan you items to see if you have any new weapons that need to be added. It will ignore any items it had found previously and you removed from the list.

GEMS and FOOD tab: just like weapons, very first time you come in AC after installing VT, it will add ANY food or gems it finds in your pack. For a mage I remove ALL from this list, to prevent VT from using a gem/food/etc i dont want it to use. As a melee/archer you would want your healing/stamina items (salted meats/rations/healing kits/etc in here so it can auto heal/stam you as needed. You can add BEERS here but if you do, VT will use them everytime one runs out, even if just standing around the mansion. DO NOT add the TOD gems.

ROUTE tab: For now ignore, its use for setting up auto navigation profiles. Later when more comfortable with VT can worry about it. I have several profiles for auto looting and navigation listed in another post.

Any questions/comments feel free to ask/offer.

OK I am very dumb. How does buffing work in Virindi Tank? I am used to LifeTank with it's buffing profiles and timer and Force Rebuff button.

Does VTank have profiles? How do you create/choose them?
Why does it always start buffing when I turn on the macro?

Barely.

At the moment, no. They probably will be included in a future version, as there are unused manual options for them already in place.

I *think* it uses a proprietary way of tracking buffs and doesn't see spells it has not cast itself.

There is no profiles in VT. What it does is buff every skill you have trained and specd. Even though you get a few buffs might not need/want, its pretty fast at buffing so doesn't really hurt to do them all.

Reason it starts buffing soon as you log in, VT can see you have life/critter buffs and knows not to cast em if already got them, it has no way to know how long (if at all) item spells (banes and weapons) have. So it does all your banes and weapon buffs (whats in your item list) each time when yoiu first log in. If you know you dont need them you can uncheck enable buffs on main tab and it won't do ANY buffs until you turn it back on.

You can always hit force buff button to do life/critter/item spells anytime you want. I'll do this if say I log on and know i got like 10 minutes or so left on life/critter spells. I'll hit the force buff buttons so they are all on same timer (will auto cast when get down to 5 minutes) and then good to go.
